June at HYS…
Hello Friends! Wow… June is here and we wanted to start by thanking everyone who stopped by during the West Michigan Yarn Quest! What a great experience… we love seeing customers new and old during those fiber and fun filled days!
And now… on to what’s happening this month at Henny’s Yarn Shop!
JUNE KAL
We fell in love with the cover of the latest NORO Magazine and a sample for the shop was quickly cast on. Filigree by Rosemary Drysdale is constructed from two rectangles, each knitted in a four-row eyelet pattern. The simple shape traces the shoulders thanks to the supple mesh fabric. Deep side vents complete the look. You could also add some length to this and wear it as a beach cover-up… you’ll save 15% on your yarn when you join in on our monthly KALs :)
The yarn used in the pattern is something new we are carrying at the shop- OHAJIKI by Noro - and we are fully stocked in five summery colorways! We still have a few copies of Issue 26 of NORO Magazine if you want this pattern as well as many others included in the SUMMER issue, but you can also purchase the pattern by itself on Ravelry.
SOCK OF THE MONTH…
We are still smitten with all the patterns in THE SOCK PROJECT by Summer Lee and chose the Sunny Side Up Socks for this month’s sock. Be sure to stop by on Tuesday afternoons at 3:30 to soak up all the sock knitting energy of our Sock Club :)

June is the start of the CALEDONIA SUMMER CONCERT SERIES and we always have a pretty sizeable group from the shop that attends.
